But the Bible doesn't prohibit smoking nor does it prohibit drinking. It does prohibit addiction. It also prohibits homosexuality.

Well, here is my 2 cents worth. Leaving the Bible out of this, everyone has to agree that the nature of the act of being "queer, gay,lesbian, butch, dyke" or whatever it is called any where in the world, it just goes against nature. Every living mammal on this earth has a male of the species and a female of the species, meant for the propogation of the species. If you get right down to the "meat"(and I use that term loosely) of the matter, We do not reproduce a-sexually. THAT IS WHY IT IS WRONG!!!!!!

But smoking is a way of the world and the bible is clear about the ways of the world.

Jefferson actually could fall under Deist. But from his own mouth he highly thought of Christianity and supported it's spread. Even after the Constitution was ratified by the states many of them had their "state" church for a few years. The Fedaeral government considered it a states right to establish a church. The established church in Va was the Church of England.

And so is eating and many other things. Smoking is bad for you but not prohibited. Being addicted to tobacco is. As well as being a drunkard, but drinking is not. Over eating is prohibited because it becomes an addiction (glutonny).

Anyway, people know where I stand on this issue. And why I stand that place. Not because "the Bible says it's wrong" partly it but why it's against God.

pre-marital sex is prohibited...it's illegal now but you don't have to get a license to make it come true, you can do it in private

but even on this separation of church and state and how the "forefathers" intended and whatnot...didnt they intend marriage laws to be a matter for the state to decide and not national law???
